The Basillica of St Mary and St Maria Goretti.
This is the operating table on Maria Goretti underwent surgery after being attacked.
Many know the story of the 11 year-old girl, who pledged to lived purity and would rather die than commit a mortal sin.
July 1902, an older boy her family lived with Allesandro made sexual advances at her, but she refused saying "It is a sin."
Then Allesandro stabbed her numerous times. She died 20 hours later, but not after having forgiven her assailant.
